Grew up in a very conservative town in the south, came to L.A., worked in improv groups and then stand-up, then became a writer and sometimes actor on Chelsea Lately which took her to new heights in her career and started opening lots of doors. He has pushed the boundaries, not just outside the gay community, but within the gay community as well - trying to prove that there are lots of different types of gay people and not just the ones the community chooses to represent itself.
